To Quote – Me

This week has been an emotional rollercoaster for me.
Last Saturday I spoke with my Dad, and found out my mum was in critical condition in a UK hospital.
On Wednesday she passed away.

My mum estranged herself from me when I went against her wishes 13 years ago.
Her stubborness about making a point, meant that she held on to grudges for as long as she could.
Unfortunately, as the saying goes, ‘time waits for no man’, and a five year battle with cancer finally took it’s toll on her.

While she, probably (and I definitely)  thought that one day, the time would be right to let go of the hurt, and make up again, sadly that can now never happen.

So if you love someone, don’t wait to forgive them.
Don’t count on there always being a tomorrow.
Live for now, it’s the only time we can truly count on.

R.I.P Mum….I never stopped loving you….I just wish I could’ve told you that!
